Welcome to the speaker guidelines page for the World Congress of Dermatology and Cosmetology, taking place 05–07 April 2027 in Singapore.

To maintain our standard of scientific excellence and ensure a seamless experience for all delegates, please review these technical, structural, and logistical formatting requirements for your upcoming oral presentation.

1. Session Timing & Presentation Allocation

Every oral presentation slot is exactly 30 minutes long. To allow sufficient time for peer discussion and audience engagement, please budget your time strictly according to the following structure:

• Presentation Duration: 25–27 Minutes

• Audience Q&A Session: 3–5 Minutes

 

⚠️ Strict Time Limit Enforcement: Session Chairs will strictly enforce timing to keep the parallel tracks on schedule. Speakers who exceed their 22-minute presentation window will have their speaking time curtailed to protect the Q&A segment.

For a balanced 25-minute scientific presentation, we recommend a total deck size of 20 to 25 slides, structured as follows:

2. Technical & Formatting Requirements

The congress hall projection screens are optimized for high-definition digital viewing. Please construct your presentation files using these baseline parameters:

• Aspect Ratio: Standard widescreen 16:9 format.

• File Formats: Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx) or Adobe PDF (.pdf).

• Font Legibility: Use clean, standard sans-serif fonts (e.g., Arial, Helvetica, Calibri). Ensure a minimum font size of 24pt for body text/bullet points and 36pt–40pt for slide headers.

• Media Embeds: If your presentation contains clinical videos (e.g., surgical techniques, cosmetic product applications, live patient assessments), embed the video files directly into the PowerPoint file rather than linking to external websites.

• Nomenclature: Use international nonproprietary names (INN) / generic names for all pharmacological agents, skincare ingredients, and biological therapies. Avoid country-specific commercial brand names.

3. Submission Timeline & On-Site Logistics

To ensure your presentation runs perfectly on the integrated AV setups without font rendering or formatting bugs, please follow this operational workflow:

 

1.Advance File Submission: Deadline: 22 March 2027.

Upload your final presentation file via the Speaker Portal on this website at least 15 days prior to the congress opening. Name your file using the format: AbstractID_SpeakerLastName_SessionTitle.

2.On-Site Arrival & Check-In: Day of Presentation.

Arrive at the congress venue and check in at the Speaker Ready Room at least 2 hours prior to the start of your designated session. Even if you pre-uploaded your file, please bring a backup copy on a USB flash drive.

3.AV Media Desk Validation:30 Minutes Prior to Session.

Meet with the on-site audio-visual technician in the Speaker Ready Room to review your slides, test embedded video playback, and verify formatting translation on the hall's native operating systems.

4.Session Hall Briefing:15 Minutes Prior to Session.

Proceed directly to your assigned presentation hall. Introduce yourself briefly to the Session Chair(s) and familiarize yourself with the podium microphone, laser pointer, and presentation clicker.

 

4. Hardware and Equipment Restrictions

• No Personal Laptops: To prevent scheduling disruptions and connectivity delays, speakers are not permitted to connect personal laptops or tablets to the podium projectors.

• Podium Layout: The podium will be fully equipped with a high-performance Windows-based laptop pre-loaded with your presentation, an integrated audio system, a physical slide switcher, and a digital laser pointer.

5. Mandatory Conflict of Interest (COI) Disclosures

In accordance with international medical continuing education standards, all presenters must include a Disclosure Slide immediately following their title slide.

• You must state any financial affiliations, research grants, consulting relationships, or commercial sponsorships connected to the dermatology or cosmetology products/companies discussed in your presentation.

• If no conflicts exist, the slide must explicitly state: "The presenter has no financial or commercial conflicts of interest to disclose relevant to this presentation."

As this is a global congress, please speak clearly at a moderate pace to accommodate our multilingual audience. Please ensure that all clinical imagery adheres to global medical privacy regulations, keeping patient identities fully anonymized unless direct written consent has been secured.
